Il mio Gioco Preferito is a 20 minute performance monologue. Based on my late father’s habit of speaking about his intention to commit suicide, the performance explores what it means to play. One can “play aound” with an idea, one can treat another person as a plaything, one can also play “in deadly earnest”. With a subject like suicide, all of the consequences of these ways of playing can become particularly acute.
